đź’Ą Ronbus Ripple Power Paddles: Ripple R1 & R2

The Ronbus Ripple R1 and R2 are setting a new standard for power paddles, with an official release date rumored to be November 22. These paddles bring serious heat to the court, designed for players who crave maximum explosiveness. Here's how they stack up:

  • Ripple R1: The R1 offers the same impressive power as the R2 but in a different shape, which suits players who prefer a hybrid-shaped paddle. Its design is built to maximize direct impact and responsiveness, giving players a powerful, punchy feel in every swing. If you favor a classic shape for hard-hitting play, the R1 might be your choice.

  • Ripple R2: The R2, while also a power paddle, is a standard-shaped paddle that enhances control slightly, thanks to a larger sweet spot that makes it a bit more forgiving than the R1 on off-center hits. This makes it easier to handle aggressive shots with a touch more consistency and precision, offering a performance edge for players who like a power paddle with added control.

Whether you’re looking to step up your power game or find a versatile paddle that can handle intense rallies, the Ronbus Ripple series delivers. For a closer look, read the full review here, and stay tuned for the launch if you’re eyeing an upgrade! And don’t forget, code RCMPB will save you $20 at checkout if you decide to make a Ripple yours.

If power is your priority, the Ronbus Ripple R1 and R2 paddles are the ones to watch. These paddles pack a serious punch, designed for players who want maximum explosiveness on the court.

First Look: Testing the Ronbus Ripple on KewCast Episode 27

This week on KewCast, the crew takes an in-depth look at the highly anticipated Ronbus Ripple paddles, now available in two shapes—the R1 elongated and the R2 widebody. These paddles are creating quite a stir thanks to their foam-enhanced core and carbon fiber grid design. The team praised their consistent power, enhanced spin, and exceptional control, with the lightweight build making them easy to maneuver across the court. According to the experts, the Ripple is a true game-changer.

The discussion also compared the Ripple to other top paddles like the JOOLA Gen 3, noting its versatility for players with various styles, whether you're into power serves or tactical kitchen play.

One collegiate-level player (4.5-5.0) got his hands on the Ripple R1.14 and shared some valuable feedback. Having played with other well-known paddles like the Six Zero Ruby, Bread & Butter Fatboy, and Ace Heart, he was immediately impressed by the Ripple's performance. His already powerful serves gained even more spin and speed, sending the ball to his opponents with nasty topspin at waist height.

The paddle's ability to drive the ball with force and precision reminded him of paddles like the Gearbox and JOOLA Mod TA-15. While he found drop shots required some precision, they felt crisp when executed well. By the end of his session, he was resetting putaways, controlling overheads with ease, and dominating the kitchen line.

But where the Ripple shined was during kitchen play. Its ability to shape shots and conceal speed-ups made it a formidable weapon, often forcing opponents into awkward positions or outright winning points. He’s already dubbing the Ripple as a contender for Paddle of the Year—if it can hold up to extensive use!

Meanwhile, the Prime 14mm boasts a plush, poppy performance that surprised me with its speed and accuracy.

Whether you're a fan of finesse at the kitchen or prefer a more aggressive, spin-heavy game, these paddles bring something for everyone. Stay tuned for the full breakdown, including spec sheets, performance ratings, and comparisons to other top paddles like the Bread & Butter Shogun!
